About Long Island Cat Adoption Donation Rescue Sanctuary: Approximately four years ago a young man, the son of Mr. Christopher Arseault. was tragically killed on Long Island in a motorcycle accident. Just after the tragic accident of Mr. Arseault's son, Mr. Arseault, a disabled middle age man himself, made a decision to save lives, specifically saving the lives of felines, cats and kittens in Long Island. Mr. Arseault. or Chris, converted his entire house and property into what is now known today as Happy Cat Sanctuary Inc. Chris mad a decision to sacrifice his life, his entire time twenty four hours a day, seven days a week caring for over 160 cats and kittens at Long Island Cat Sanctuary. Chris receives help form only a few close friends that share his cause, as Marie Harley and her boyfriend who is a carpenter and where they both have given countless hours in helping Chris covert his house and property and all the daily hard work it takes to maintain the sanctuary where it is Long Island's largest cat shelter where the cats have the run of their sectioned spaces to go and come at their leisure indoors or out doors.
Long Island Cat Sanctuary also has a quarantined section of the property with inside shelter that has been turned into a hospice for terminally ill felines with aids where these cats and kittens have the freedom to feel safe, run and play, and live out there lives in a truly happy environment that is stimulating for felines.
For the past four years Chris has been rescuing cats and kittens from deplorable conditions where if these cats have had not been rescued would have certainly resulted in the death of these beautiful cats and kittens in Long Island. Chris has also been trapping feral Long Island cat and kitten colonies, getting these cats and kittens spayed, neutered, and their shots, and gradually rehabilitated these Long Island feral cats and kittens into domesticated Long Island cats and kittens, pets for adoption into loving Long Island homes and families.
The Long Island Referral has had the fortunate opportunity to meet Chris, Marie, and the felines at Happy Cat Sanctuary in Medford; we, the Long island Referral were truly amazed of what this man has done and is doing for homeless Long island Cats and Kittens. Unfortunately because of the resources needed to adequately run the sanctuary, the sanctuary is at full capacity. In fact, Long Island Cat Sanctuary is in need of the publics help in donations by check and volunteers in any capacity who can help in maintaining this cat sanctuary in Long Island as follows:
